New member trying to decide on a new deer knife thinking about knives of Alaska Alpha
Wolf in D2 or s30v or maybe a Bark River Fox River in A-2 opinions would be appreciated
thanks.

Both looks like solid knives, I would also recommend a Queen Premium hunter in D2. Great size for deer, and a lot of knife for the money!

A2 is tougher than D2 or S30V
A2 isn't stainless, D2 is just about a stainless steel, S30V is a stainless steel
S30V and D2 are more wear resistant than A2

all three steels should give you good service, but knife design is just as important as steel selection. which do you prefer more, the bark river design or the knives of alaska?

That KOA Alpha Wolf design looks like it would be a great cutter/slicer. I like the grip on it too. It's also a thinner blade, which I vastly prefer on a knife that is mostly used for it's actual purpose.

I have a KOA wolverine hunter.I have used it for years to gut, skin and quarter lots of whitetails. Takes an edge and holds it.It is my go to hunting knife.
