Help me decide what my next folder will be... $200-$500 range

Thanks man! That's my one-off phin, hands down my favorite knife.

Sr-1 is a one piece, 3d machined block of ti, not separate scales like the lionspy or most other framelocks for that matter. Its also has better f&f and the overall quality is a pretty big step up.

Good to know! I've owned a sr1-a and the lion spy currently but I havent handled one of the Sr-1's.

My biggest concern with a custom is the whole send back procedure etc.
CRK seems like a bigger more consistant run where as the LEU, George Les etc all seems to be limited run stuff... am I wrong?

With that budget go custom! Get a Sniper Bladeworks LPC, mini LPC or DH!

I am tempted Whitty, trust me, It's just soo difficult to jump into that end of the pool without having fondled any of those you know? It's one thing to try and resell a para 2... some of the custom stuff seems to sit on the forums forever and a day unless it says hinderer or sprint...

A vintage microtech SOCOM won't let you down!
Definitely on my radar bro!!! nearly pulled the trigger on a d/a one last week.
What blade steel you recommend? I don't know WHAT microtech did to my buddies s-35vn one but I'll be damned if it doesn't hold an edge.

Not sure what you mean by "send back procedure"...

I am sure it has been said but I recommend a Hinderer XM-18. Even with BAD luck you will be able to get one for $600.00 or less these days. It appears that the 3.5" are coming down in price a bit on the secondary market due to increased production.

If you haven't already, take a look at William Henry. I have a T12 that I bought off of the exchange here and love it. Gorgeous, smooth as silk and a great slicer. Picture taken by the original owner of the knife.
