Ok guys, you have been great while I have been recuperating but I need your help now more than ever! I am finally going camping this weekend:D:D:D!!! Yay! But it has been such a long time that I have a big list of big boy toys that need to be tried out. I have new outdoor purchases that are begging for work.

Just for fun I am bringing:
My trusty hewing broadaxe
GB Carpenters axe (trying spoon making for the first time)
A handforged tomahawk that was the first I put a handle on
Wood Jewel Puuko
NWA Forum knife (finally get to put it through its paces)
Ironwolf Forum woodcraft knife.
SAK Multitool
Lee Valley tube saw.

But now I must choose some from this list to supplement what I have (and to not forget folders, slippies and Neckers:
Benchmade Rukus
Canal Street Cannitler
Blue Minigrip
Tool logic SL1? (50% serrated, flashlight, ferro rod and whistle)
Mini or Micro Canadian (just got them last Tues/Wed)
BRKT Lil' Bird and trout (mini woodcraft blade)
Cold Steel Mini Pendleton (Mini woodcraft necker)
Kuhn slippie that I converted into wharncliffe with unfinished red micarta
ZDP Endura
Moon Song Sebbie
Hoffman Harpoon
SAK electrician
SAK One Hand Trekker

I am planning on trying bow drill fire, spoon making, and possibly figure 4 traps if I can- not sure about who is going (I am not planning it and it is for a friends birthday), and what kind of atmosphere it is (or precicely where it is other than by a river near Edson). We will be doing some fishing (I suck), and some drinking (my axes are for me to decide who gets to use them), and some firemaking.

I am leaning towards the Kuhn, Rukus, Tool logic, Mini Pendleton and Hoffman Harpoon but do want your choices as well. Of course there will be pictures, and hopefully none of them will be too incriminating!!! Probably won't be back tomorrow to check in due to a far away funeral but keep the discussion going while I am away!

Hey Kris, have a really good time. Watch the leg!

I'm interested in your report on the Pendleton Hunter.

BTW, are you ready for more pics yet?

Doc

You have a good selection to choose from. It's always tough deciding which blades to bring, that's why I sometimes end up bringing too many :D

Take the sebbie, I wanna know how it works for you in the woods before I buy one.
hoffman harpoon, tool logic, mini canaidian, and pendleton!!

OR... take em all!!

Thanks- keep the suggestions coming. Doc- not ready yet, I've been out of commission due to me getting a sinus infection, ear infection and rising wisdom tooth all on the same side, plus my daughter getting sick, and trying to register and pay deposits for school in the fall. I'll try to get working on it next week though.
