Help me decide...

The steel is 1095 carbon on the original Old Timer knives. A few models were stainless though, as were some special editions.
The handles are normally brown delrin (plastic), and the bolsters were usually nickel-silver. Plenty of exceptions though:

I was going to mention the 301 to you yesterday but held off due to the carbon steel comments. I carry one regularly on inclement weather days. It's a good knife for not a lot of money and Buck stands behind their products should you need them.

Used the search option lol... Googled it and found a bf thread on
The 301. Looks like I'm asking for that.

I don't think you'll be disappointed. It has a lot of fans, is a solid knife with three useful blade profiles. Comes reasonably sharp as well unlike some offerings.

Are any of the 2 blade models still made in the USA?

I'm not an expert on their lineup but if you check their website I think they indicate which of their models are made here and which overseas.

Some of our other members will be able to help with your question as well.

Alrighty... Just figured I'd ask just in case.
