Help me Decide

Skyline's a great knife; very light and practical. It doesn't have a lefty clip option because there's only one liner, but if that's ok with you I'd say go for it. I haven't been looking at knives in its price range because I have better ones, but after having gotten one in a trade I'm very impressed with it.

That one has been on my radar for awhile. I was at Walmart yesterday morning and they had one for about 35 bucks. The employee could not find anyone with the key to the case so I couldn't get it. That's okay I can get it at another time plus I am waiting on my RAM. I haven't bought a folder in about a year so I am super excited about this.

Well what an early Christmas present that arrived today. Just got my first official Kershaw and it is amazing. Super light weight, locks up like a bank vault and sharp as hell. The button lock is taking a little to adjust to but I am already getting it down. I can't get over how sharp and thin the edge is. This thing is going to slice through stuff like butter. Thanks to everyone who walked me through the purchase. I see more Kershaw in my future! Somehow I managed to equate flippers with spring assist. Whole different thing and I like it. Also wanted to mention how ergonomic it is. Fits the hand like a glove. Wow, this thing is great!

The problem with disabling the speedafe is that there usually isnt anything left to keep the blade closed because they lack a detent.

I would get a JYD and have a lowrider clip put on. The blade isn't a recurve, btw. The Skyline tapped for a lowrider clip would be the other option.

The G10 + lowrider clip + non-assisted + frame/liner lock criteria pretty much leaves you with only the ZT0560/561 for an out of the box Kershaw/ZT.

Great suggestion putting a lowrider clip on the Skyline; buy a blem (no worries about voiding the warrantee on a blem, which has none) from Kershawguy.com (great prices, fast service). I just checked, and my RJI has a lowrider clip on it (right-hand only, tip-up or tip-down), you might be able to get one of those from Kershaw customer service; it's black, and I think it would look good on a black Skyline.
