Imperials do not fetch a high dollar in the knife collecting world. They hold alot of nostalgic sentimental value. I have a small crescent moon scar where I shoved the blade of a large toothpick knife about 1/2" straight into my arm. I was 11 yrs. old, and cutting cardboard with the blade dull as a butter knife towards me. The blade slipped off the cardboard, and I plunged it into my forearm. I kept myself from fainting, because I was afraid my dad would beat the tar out of me if I was caught with it. I quickly grabbed my arm and compressed the wound with my palm and headed for the bathroom to bandage up my arm. I spent alot of time cleaning up the blood. I traded for that knife with a weeks worth of lunch money! I never asked for permission, and kept it hidden from my parents. I got my first official dad sponsored knife when I was 13, it was a SAK. I am sure others have Imperial stories. I do not collect them, but when I see one I still smile on my bravado, and how I dodged a dad's discipline session bullet. I wish I had that big yellow handled toothpick still.
