a long time ago when i was in elementary school i recall reading a book with either the title, or the subtitle, of The war started at supper. i recall that there was a yellow border on the book and that it was about letters written by school children to soldiers during desert storm. i have not thought about the book in more than a decade when it was mentioned to me in conversation yesterday and i decided to see if i could find it online since it would make a very good gift for a close friend of mine. i have searched around on amazon for hours and used every tool i have on google, ixquick and other search engines but i have found nothing; no mention of such a book at all.
has anyone ever heard of such a book? have i gone crazy?
i was seven years old when the gulf war began so anyone around my age may have heard of such a book.
p.s. the title may be slightly different than what i recall (i.e. the war began at dinner, the fighting start at suppertime, etc.)
