It depends on the steel. But you ca get a knife pretty black pretty easily.

It's citric acid in that video. Which is basically lemon juice.

The knife David Mary showed I think is stainless and won't work like that.

But a carbon steel would.

I bet someone in the custom makers section could probably do one to your specifications without breaking the bank.

Was gonna say this same thing. Profile reminded me of a tfknives field knife, though handle design is a bit different than what he usually does.
