Help me fix my Rockwell drill press

More specifically the 3 levers. Well 2 because first of all one is missing. And another one keeps falling out. It seems it was held on only with a press fit. So what is my best course of action?

I was thinking of taping the holes and making new levers. Is it a good idea or am I “defacing” the old girl?

I think anything is acceptable as long as you can make it serviceable again. After all what would be a shame is if you quit using her.
Fix her up as good as you can and get to making holes.

If there isn't too much of a gap, try locktite bearing adhesive.

I think I will first try taping the holes and making levers.
