I'll add another vote for the Bone Collector. The G10 on this one is smooth, not finely textured like Spyderco and Al Mar do theirs. It almost feels more like micarta. But, a walnut version is available in both sizes. You might also want to try the Sage 4. It's desert ironwood and a backlock so you eliminate the two things you don't want. Honestly though, the Spyderco Gayle Bradley should be everything you'd want or need. Even though it is a liner lock, it's very stout and thick. I have no problem trusing the lock on my GB to anything I would ever do with a folding knife.
