Help me out HOGs!!!!

It is not one of my mods. I am fairly certain that it is a factory job. The biggest indicator is the look of the satin and the plunge cut.

The tube fasteners that I use may or may not have seems depending on the batch and manufacture. The amount of flaring is determined by the cut length of the tubing.

I would call that one an ideal meaner. Great satin finish, shiny wide flared tubes, and a tan handle. Nice. It is a keeper for sure. I really need to get a meaner.

So, any of you other HOGs seen/have one like this?

Just curious if it has a brother or sister.

when those were at the bcs, there were quite a few variations available. i dont specifically recall satin/tan, but with both the meaners and leaners available at the same time, who could remember all of them?

we could ask skunk, but he was drinking. maybe vicki remembers?

i say it is factory from the bcs.

I agree it's a factory knife,

I went through a bunch of cached BCS pages from that period( Jan - Oct 2005), no sign of a Satin/Tan MrS.

Might look at ganza's from that period.

Me and the previous owner picked our knives up from Alaska Gun Works at the same time except I bought a Leaner Meaner and mine was a limited edition numbered satin finish with snakeskin scales. It's in the hands of another Hog these days though.

That's the first satin/tan meaner i have seen, but i have definitely seen satin/tan factory Active Duties...

I think you have a factory model bro.

I talked to Jon on the phone this am and that is exactly what he told me.

Looks like I got a pretty rare meaner then!!:thumbup:

hi, i'm the seller/original owner, and thats exactly the same way i received it when it was purchased (aside from the edge). i never did notice the difference in the talon holes that some others have pointed out. that flared/counter sunk talon/pommel holes put a really nice finishing touch on the knife.
