I think you're making a great decision. This is mine and sits in the "never gonna sell" box when not in my pocket.

If you want a Wharncliffe blade that is very sturdy you should pick up a Case Seahorse. I use mine for cutting up all kinds of difficult material. Very comfortable in the hand also.

Thought I'd update this to let you guys know that I found one. It wasn't the 2004 model, but I'm pretty pleased.

This is the 2011 Case/T.Bose Muskrat with Devin Thomas Raindrop Damascus.
