Help Me Pick a $65.00 EDC

i love my u2, but it doesn't have a clip. however, it's a great little cutter, enough grip there to go through a thick cardboard box comfortably. another thing i really like about the u2 is it is very sheeple friendly. my axis locks not so much. laminated steel in the u2 is pretty cool. i see the zytel handel as a feature, rather than a cheap substitute material. it's lightweight, strong, and i don't worry about my keys marring it up. carry in the pocket for me is very unobtrusive.

mini grip is a great knife too though + axis lock, so i understand your dilemma, and it's definately worthy of consideration. i do own an axis lock and various assisted openers. the one thing i like about the u2 is it's even more sheeple safe (would definately carry it while with the gf's parents), and my other knives (axis lock and assisted openers) i worry about the potential to be hassled with by the law sometimes. unlikely but the grey part of the law still an issue that bothers me (obviously you may feel differently about that). so my u2 is pretty much a foolproof EDC for me, great blade with worry-free carry. obviously being able to snap open an axis lock is more fun, but if i want that feature i'll carry my bm705.

p.s. i really like 154cm blades by the way, my 705 has it.

I would also like to recommend the D'Allara Droppoint, it's one hell of a beefy knife and feels like it'd be able to be put through some heavy use (feels way stronger than my native and mini grip)

Min Grip, Native, Delica, Endura.

In that order.

Any of those 4 will work great for your needs. I would get the Grip first, the Native second, and have to flip a coin for the last two.

Fällkniven U2  - no clip but with a lanyard it will easily fit in your back pocket and you won't notice it until you need it.

Griptilian, Endura 4.

Slightly off point, but when I was doing install work with wire, mostly 16 to 18 gauge, I found the best item for cutting it was a good - not necessarily expensive - scissor.

Wouldn't use a good blade on wire. Especially with so many inexpensive wire cutting tools available.

The Delica/Endura 4 (only difference is size) are the best bang for the buck folders out there IMO. The others mentioned are good choices as well though.
