Hello again friends you’re always helpful so let’s see what you think on these.

Wanting a new XM and these are the choices I can find.

Or maybe wait to see what else is released heard about a XM-18 skinny which is interesting.

My perfect Hinderer would be a XM-24 Fatty Bowie in 20CV with CF Scale and Lockbar Insert. :D And I have a hard time taking your poll seriously when I read "gear clip" :p, out of the options I still went with Gen 5 Spanto.

Literally only gen 5 Spanto I can find anywhere has that dumb titianium gear clip

So he's giving them out with his knives cause he can't sell them on their own? Good! lol
But seriously, I figure you can just take them off the clip, they are clearly screwed onto it somehow, or get a replacement clip and sell the gear clip to some Hinderer Fan who needs it to fidget.

Yeah it does look removable worst part is it makes the cost go up to $510. $85 added for a dumb clip smh

This is why I put both gen Spearpoint not sure if I should get one with the insert. Why do you prefer no insert?
Aesthetics mostly. Looks cleaner without a screw in the lockbar. Hinderer carbidizes their lock faces anyway so wear is not a major concern, and I've never had a problem with lock stick on any of the RHKs I've had.

Same mine and the 561 I have have zero issues. Also another one I’ve found in my search. Gen 4 Spanto pretty unique one compared to the other ones 12E39870-E6F5-48D2-855D-BEF0B96A2B3E.jpeg2D85E9FA-473F-403E-8272-9A6077F0E363.jpeg

Interesting. I feel exactly the opposite, a Frame Lock without a Screw for a LBI looks empty to me. Like something is missing. It might be because I came in a little late to the game? And I am more used to seeing the majority of knives with inserts? While earlier it was more uncommon?

I made a mistake in initially voting for the Gen 5 solution. I'm eagerly awaiting FullTrack. Going to be a beast!

1. Pick #5 - wait and see
2. Save money while continuing to pick #5
3. Purchase a Demko and live happily ever after

I like the looks of the new sheepsfoot.
My favorite Hinderer is still my first one. A 3 1/2" spearpoint.

Or, how 'bout a Fatty? Go big or go home.

I bought the XM-24 wharncliffe in M390 from DLT just a few weeks ago. I was looking pretty seriously at the Skinny XM-24 with a slicer grind. Now that I have a wharncliffe I'd like to get a spanto. BUT if you can stand to wait, I'd do just that. I couldn't do it. I had to have it NOW.

Any of them will be great knives. I voted for the XM-24 Skinny. This knife got overlooked and has been my favorite big folder.
