help me pick a khukuri.

Shall I fluff your pillows for you gentlemen? You'll want to be as comfortable as possible on those couches.

What you do is buy your wife a smaller version of your favorite khukuri so you have a his-and-hers matched pair.

They usually fall for that. It's like, "cute" and stuff.

That's an awesome idea. A 15" M43 would be awesome, with a slightly thinner spine, like 5/16".
This is the beauty of dating a girl who's only a couple inches shorter than I. Our "his and hers" matched pair is an M43 for me and a Sirupati for her.

Be damned careful what y'all teach them there wenches about how to use a khukuri, next thing you know they'll be takin yer hair.:p ;) :D

Mine hasn't used a meat cleaver in the kitchen since I bought her that 15.5" Chitlangi

Someday, I'll be the high priest of the Cult of the Chitlangi.

Someday.

Now that is dedication to a specialised form/style/type of Khukuri.

My collection aims are broader based and it is hope to one-day include the M43, WWII, and various Dui Chira's to name but a few Khuk's plus a number of HI knives and swords.

I think the top of my want list right now is a Gelbu.

Interesting ... I emailed Yangdu about a custom Gelbu Special of 23inches/30ounces late last year!

I did not pursue it as I spent the money I had for on on the Bhariab.

The idea of a hollow forged Bhariab style blade combines many aspects of these two fine blades. That's the direction I hope follow.

Only thing that could sidetrack me is if a standard Chitlangi Bowie came along instead to compliment its big brother! :D

i say go with cold steel, its cheap and effective!

Yup, cheap and effective. Like taking the girl of your dreams out on a first date to McDonalds.
It'll only cost you $1.99 and will effectively end your chances of any further contact with her on any girls she knows.

ha ha
