Help me pick a knife from these options please!

I'd get a different Mora first, like a Companion or Companion HD or something, it really doesn't matter but get one that's a normal length. Whatever color and handle style looks good to you, they are fairly priced and durable, as well as excellent cutting tools. And they are, importantly, so inexpensive and fundamentally tool-like that you will not feel too bad if you manage to destroy or just heavily mar it during your early forays into bushcraft. The Buck and Kabar are very different in construction style and while they're not going to be all that different in terms of durability, they're a more expensive and pride of ownership sort of knife. Even if you go with one of those, I would still highly recommend getting some kind of basic Mora to pack along with it. Just to live in your pack as a light but fully capable spare, or primarily as a food prep knife so you can have a different edge to use after building a shelter or whatever you do with your main knife.

That 8.1" Mora does look cool though, and might end up as a trunk saber in case I get a bug to hack my way through some tall grass

A 4" +/- Mora can occasionally be had for pocket change so to speak, though the price has increased in the last couple years. Same with the Buck 119. I was getting various Moras including the Companions for $8 - $12. Bushcraft Orange for $20. Bushcraft Black for $28. Different category than the Buck 119 which was available for maybe $45.

You just have to decide what size/purpose you need and shop around. Start with the less expensive ones (but quality) and work your way up. By the time you get 30 or 40 knives you'll get a feeling for what suits you. I'm a casual "accumulator" of knives, nothing fancy or over $50 (excepting gifts and screaming deals and those that increased in value). But over the last 50+ years I've ended up with a lot of knives, maybe in the hundreds. Never counted, though I did count about 65 hammers in my garage. They just work and don't require sharpening.

I'd say it depends on the kinds of tasks you want to do with it. If it's a general camp/bush knife, I'd go with the Mora.

Buck Custom Shop 119.
Configure it as you like and wait a little bit for it.
Hard to beat the value proposition of a Custom Buck…

First fixed blade ... outdoors survival knife?
Get the Mora because you won't care about banging on it or scratching it up as well as making mistakes when learning how to use it. It'll actually look better the more it gets used.

The Buck's fine but it looks too nice and you may not want to use it.
KABARs? They're good fighting knives, but I wouldn't consider them to be outdoors or survival knives.
