The ZT0770CF is carbon fiber, as is the Benchmade 940-1, Spyderco Gayle Bradley, a few Paramilitary models (limited runs), ZT0562, plus any ZT with a scale CAN be carbon fiber with an aftermarket scale, such as the 0550, 0551, 0560, 0561, etc. The Spyderco Gayle Bradley is an awesome knife, and I think it is as awesome as the 0801, 0550, and 0560/1.
While completely your call, I would advise against purchasing a MicroTech, personally...they have good designs but they are an absolutely terrible company to deal with IMO, and I have had some MTs that have been as nice in fit and finish as a Chris Reeve Sebenza, and others that are inferior to a Frost Cutlery or Smith and Wesson factory second in edge geometry and reliability. MicroTech's unprofessional conduct (ex: copying original designs of others) and mistreatment of their customers (ex: the cursing incident) is also a very sore spot for many, and a reason many refuse to purchase any MT model, myself included. With makers such as Kershaw, ZT, Spyderco, and Benchmade who clearly value their customers greatly, go out of their way with service, and make products on their high-end side equally good and often better, I prefer to give them my business. (What you do is your own call, and this is my opinion.) MicroTech's Socom Delta CF is comparable to ZT's 0454 in terms of a high-end folder using carbon fiber...and the Socom doesn't even come close IMO.
These are a few Preacher scales for the 0550. I own one myself.
