help me pick a new edc

I really like the para 2. Also I have a full size BM onslaught 741 and that is a great knife, though large. I think the mini would be great, but hold one first and feel it in your pocket. The scales make the 741 very comfortable in the hand but a bit bulky in the pocket. And make sure the tip isn't too thin for you. Also the 710 is a great knife, but more practical, the 740 is fantastic, And I think it looks great. There are some great spyderco's if you like the look, check out the gayle bradley or a caly 3.5.

Ok so I need a new edc and need help. First my budget is $200 or less. If it's more than that I'll get a zt560. I have owned and loved a H&k nitrous blitz, benchmade rift, and spyderco military but all had things I didn't like. The H&k is getting fixed for some sort of mechanical problem that made it not open all the way. The rift lost its tip due to very light prying. The military has way too much wasted space in the handle. It could have had another 1/2" of blade in there. My favorite to carry was the H&k because the wraith was kinda fat and the military had a Ax handle.
So now you know what I kinda like and what I dont. If benchmade still made the nitrous Stryker spear point that's what I would get. I like the part but it's still got a lot of wasted space in the grip. I like that caly 3.5 but kinda think it's going to be delicate. No current Benchmade really strikes a cord with me but it you think of one call it out. I want it to be tough cause I have to cut all sorts of cap as a trucker. I want a sturdy tip that won't break. I want a strong lock. I'm not a steel snob and can sharpen very well. Oh and I know carry a Busse for when something needs done that would be abusive to a normal pocket knife. I have a few I'm considering including the para 2, zt 0566, manix xl, and maybe a be mini onslaught. Any other suggestions?

What about a 3 to 4" fixed blade for EDC? Much stronger than any folder you have mentioned, and many are available within your price range. Bark River has an excellent selection, but many do exceed the $200 mark, but not by a lot.

Spyderco Gayle Bradley, or a Hogue.
