help me pick a new folder

thank you all for taking the time to reply to my question I have been looking at the ones that you all recommend. . I know that I am pretty hard on my blades .And I end up breaking or giving away most of them cause they just don't fit the bill I do carry a full size knife as you can see in da photo. A Becker or a Swamp Rat. Greco Or one of the locally made knives. It all really just depends on what you are planing to do and use it for .Don't you think? A knife I might carry in Iraq is not the same as I would carry in Pandacan or the west end For that I would have a C.S. SPIKE LOL
I see that the Spyders And B.M are on top as well as the Z.Ts
So now its time to place an order.
Thanks

The Cold Steel American Lawman has a very strong lock and is a great value for the dollar (~$69.00 on line) it is all black and a one hand opener, however it's has a very stiff action (which I love) that requires you to use the thumb studs so you will not be able to flick this one open. The blade steel is AUS8 which has adequate edge retention and will flex more before breaking unlike the so called super steels which will cut forever but are harder to sharpen and prone to snapping. This one is made in Taiwan.

A little out of your price range and way different from your specs would be a Rat Cutlery RC-3 (fixed ~3.4 inch 1095 carbon steel coated blade) with molle back sheath (~$70.00.) This is simple, very strong, and reliable, Nothing beats good old carbon steel for edge retention abilities and toughness in one. The blade geometry is also made for real world cutting. I would recommend this over any folder. The sheath system is supposed to be made for rough and tumble. The only disadvantage is it is not stainless. The blade coatings come in a variety of colors and should considerably protect the blade. This one is made in USA.

 Not going to tell us what you're going to choose? :(

Spyderco Endura (~$60.00) tough, ergonomic, a good cutter with a good lock not as strong American Lawman which is a tank, but more comfortable in the hand. It can be taken apart but believe me the Endura is no fun to reassemble after. The Cold Steels I have disassembled reassemble much easier however neither is suitable for stripping in the field. (Rat RC-3 needs no stripping to clean)

Spyderco D, Allara rescue has a simple strong ball bearing lock and the blade lock area is exposed making it easy to inspect and clean while the lock backs such as Endura and Amercican Lawman can easily get grit inside without notice causing lock failure. Both Endura and D' Allara have VG-10 steel blades and are made in Japan.

D'Allara PE is a bit hard to get at though. Amazing knife though.

ZT0500 MUDD. Why would you need it easy to take apart if you do not have to take it apart?

It fits all of the other criteria beautifully.

D' Allara is ~$70.00. Any of the Benchmade axis locks are reliable and also have exposed blade lock areas (easy to inspect and clean.) The Griptilians are ~$80.00 blade steel is 154CM, The Presidio Ultra, the lower cost Zytel handled version of the Presidio looks pretty good also blade steel is 440C. Both have Axis locks. Does anyone know if the Presidio Ultra has full stainless liners like the original Presidio ?

ZT0500 is great, it has a strong locking mechanism that is also sealed preventing and contaminants from entering. The overall build of it is strong as well. The blade is 154CM and the knife is US made, but I believe the price exceeds his $50 to $100
range.
