Help Me Pick My First GEC

Thanks Jake. I've said it before but I really like your gen stag as well. I think you got the pick of the litter on that one

Another favorite pattern from GEC is the 66 stockman...

...but based on the criteria mentioned by the OP, the White Owl seemed like a better fit.

I also recommend the 33 and the 85 but the 33 has a clip blade and the 85 is a bit bigger than the others.

Here's my marketing for the white owl: ;) :p

One blade is larger
And one blade is small
And the ones that GEC makes
Don't have any gaps at all
Go ask GEC to produce an order ten feet tall

And if you go chasing white owls
And you know you're going to fall
Tell 'em a hookah smoking BF member
Has given you the call
...

Those owls will get you. ;) Got my white owl in my pocket.

As always, lovely pics Jake. As Trand said that is some gorgeous stag on your White Owl. It reminds me of a piece of butter toffee lightly sprinkled with cinnamon!

Thank you, guys. Oddly enough my two best examples of stag from GEC both are knives with bails. Doug I like your description of the stag on the 68. I'm not as good with words but the 33 has more popcorn. I've seen some great examples of stag handled GEC knives from the collections of you guys and others and hope to add a few more to my own collection.

The 33 would be a good fit for someone looking for a single spring knife though it doesn't have a spear main blade. The bails don't bother me on my two stag knives for some reason... although I have another 33 from the Dog Paw series and I hate the bale on that knife --it might be that the bail is a bit more stiff on the Dog Paw.
