I am wanting an s30v folder and have narrowed it down to these three knives. I want this knife for everyday carry and just general cutting. I would like to know who you think does the blade the best, and just the overall feel and quality of the knife. If I get a blemished leek, they are all around the same price of 50 bucks. Tell me what you think and thanks a lot.
1. Spyderco Native
2. Buck vantage pro (small)
3. Kershaw leek (s30v)

Leek, I carried one for 4 years. Was never not satisfied. I eventually gave it to my friend who was not a knife guy and he has yet to separate from it. He is now a Kershaw fan boy :)

Plus speed assist is just cool and immensely useful.

I use a framelock (14c28) leek for EDC sometimes, but I haven't used the others on your list.

I used to own the G10/S30V leek, but sold it. The leek is a fine every day, general use knife and has a really gentlemanly look and feel to it. It has an extremely thin lock bar, though, and is not by any means a knife I would use hard or abuse.

I don't think you could go wrong with any of those choice. I've read that Spyderco does a great job with heat treat and all on there S30V

Good list for a start but man, there are dozens and dozens of other really good S30V folders. I have to assume you've seen them all in order to narrow the list down to just 3.

I would go for Leek.
Though I agree with Knife Crazied - any of the three would be a good choice.

Yep I have, but I was trying to keep it around 50 bucks. I know there are some awesome knives for more money. I love that orange manix 2.

Trust me, I didn't want to drop almost $130 for one knife, but the more I looked at it and thought about it, it would be worth it to me to have a knife that should last me my entire life (unless I lose it ). And then there is always the fact that it is a sprint run. If I don't like it, I can always resell it for a fair price.

i think the most bang for the buck is the vantage pro.--dennis

I'm with you there. I own several Leeks and although I do like them, they are not in my opinion as sturdy a knife as the Vantage Pro.

You might want to go somewhere that you can handle the Vantage's before you decide on the size. I have all the versions and the small one is too small for me and I'm just an average size guy. It seems more suited to a youngster or a small lady. In fact, I gave my first small Vantage Pro to a friends 12 year old daughter so she would have one like her Dad's (his is the large version) and it's the perfect size for her.

check out the ZT 0350. Ultra high quality at a low price.

If it's bang for the buck you're after I'd recommend the Sage1. It will probably be the one folder in any steel you can't put down.

Every knife collector I've met swears by the Kershaw Leek. It is going to be my next knife, actually.

It's a fine knife. It's thin, light, carries superbly... But I can't recommend it as a general utility knife. It just isn't a "tough" knife at all. I think the roughest work I'll put mine through is cutting cardboard.

That said, a CB Leek has been in my pocket for almost 2 weeks, now.

I have all of them and I would recommend the Native. Because the leek and the buck can be purchased for so little with very acceptable steels, that it almost seems wasteful to spend more on S30v. But you can only get the Native in S30 so it seems like a better idea.
But that only because I would buy all 3.
