The Kershaw would get my vote. I don't like knives with 3-inch (or less) blades, and one knife you might want for your bugout bag is a Cabela's [Buck] Alaskan 110 ($67). It has a blade that has a deep, lustrous black, kind of like the rich deep bluing on a Colt Python. The knife also comes with a leather pouch. It's an exceptionally strong knife and one of the best bargains out there. It's not an EDC unless you're Larry the Cable Guy, but everyone ought to have one.
I have a Native and it's a great little knife. But the only time I carry it is when I'm in my pajamas. I like 4- and 5-inch knives when I go out, though, and 6-inchers when I go out at night.
