Help Me Pick My New Knife!

I'm wondering if the Military or the 710 have steel liners also. Gonna check youtube review on them to find out.

Yes. They both have steel liners.

Here's the guts of a 710. It's a tank of a knife and would certainly be my choice if you feel that the Paramilitary is too small.

(note that the liners, on the right side, are held together by the axis bar.)

Buy the Spyderco Military. Everyone needs to experience the awesomeness of that knife!

Spyderco Military

Benchmade 710

ZT0200 or 0500

Benchmade Rukus

+1 these are all good choices, that meet your criteria(the Rukus may be a little more than $150.)

With all due respect, on the Kershaw 200 and 302, I've checked 'em out and they blade length (sub 4" ) is not long enough for what you pay for in weight or money, IMHO.

Yes they are big heavy chunks of steel but I dig the sleek design of of a Spydie Police or Military giving me more blade, longer leaner handles to work with in the hand.

Those Kerhaws look like mini-hatchets and they're cool as heck but I'm not into the rugged, big handle with adjusting nut on the side, look, or the flipper thingy.

I love them if you love them but I wouldn't buy one. I respect everyone's taste in blades!!!

I ordered the Military in Satin finish blade. Thanks guys! :D

Just an update.

My son who just got back from his 3rd tour in Iraq, bought me the other knife I was thinking about when I bought the Spyderco Military for my birthday.

The BM710 D2 satin finish plain edge, is in the mail - a good choice I believe.

And their Mom says (when she's po'ed & they screw up) that I didn't raise my boys right! :D
