I have a maxpedition jumbo versa pack. You can fit a lot of stuff in it. There's a spot for a bottle of water (or whtever) and little pockets for all kinds of things. If you don't have boobs I would say it would work out great for a day bag. If you have boobs prepare to have them crushed.
This is my favorite category and size of pack. For years I used a Lowe Alpine Contour 40 (long discontinued), but switched recently to a Spec-Ops T.H.E. pack. Small enough for EDC, but big enough for a light overnight rig. A very well thought-out design, IMHO. Made in the US, to boot.Going out west this year hunting for 10 days and need a pack that I can carry and hunt with. Want something big enough to carry enough for a day but in a emergency have enough to spend a night in the woods. Any help or input greatly appreciated. Thanks
I was looking for the same thing pilot1, but it got me to thinking. If a pack is large enough to have a decent waist belt, it becomes a 2 or 3 day pack and not a day/overnite pack.
