I use Cabella's Whitetail pack in Blaze Orange.
It holds a fair amount of stuff, is quiet (is has a brushed finish that is way more quiet than standard nylon), and the suspension system works well. It fairly inexpensive, but has lasted for several seasons without a problem. It's a great pack for day-tripping from a base camp. I keep food and water, spare clothing, basic survival kit, tarp for shelter, 550 cord, candles, game bags, jetboil stove, spare ammo, and more in it. My hunting partner thinks I carry to much stuff when hunting, but where I hunt the weather can turn pretty quickly and be severe. Pays to be prepared.
Blaze orange just makes sense to me. Not much cool factor, but I'd really rather not get shot by some eager hunter while out in the back country.
I'll second TrailWolf in re Kifaru. I love my X-ray. But the Cabella's pack has become a real favorite because it is so quiet.
