Are the photos of the actual scales? Or are these representative only?
I ask because I assume "Aberdeen" refers to the jigging style, and that while they may be a little different in overall appearance, the mahogany and sunset are jigged very similarly. It's the dye and slight difference in the non-jigged spaces that give mahogany a different look than sunset. I also see the Aberdeen uses two columns of shorter grooves, while the mahogany uses one column of longer grooves to create the pattern.
I definitely could be wrong though.
