I got all the higher end knives that were on my Christmas list, and I now have a little cash left over in my spending budget; $55.43 to be exact. Instead of throwing it into my wedding budget (that would be foolish when there are many more knives to be had), how should I spend it?!

I have some knife-related suggestions, as opposed to knives themselves. This is assuming you don't already have the below covered.

What's your sharpening situation? If you don't have a Sharpmaker I'd recommend that. Great to have out for quick touchups even if you use other sharpening systems/stones for more thorough stuff.

Nano oil (the best stuff out there in my experience): http://i.imgur.com/d7EyHQ4.jpg

I'd contact Blade Forums user adequacy for a strop. He makes amazing strops at great prices: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/member.php/376348-adequacy

This Wiha torx set is excellent and very portable: http://i.imgur.com/e27fWuF.jpg. Wiha makes the best torx drivers.

Aegis Solutions EDCi is a really great spray-on wipe-off corrosion preventor and waterproofer. I'd get a bottle of that.

Those are my recommendations.

How about a membership here and some sharpening equipment?

If you like lanyards, buy some 550 cord and a few beads

If not, buy a Kershaw Scrambler to beat on.

If you're into traditionals you can pick up a handfull of rough riders to try out different patterns. If you end up really liking a particular pattern you can upgrade to a GEC.

Heck, even if you're not into traditionals it's worth grabbing a few to try out. They come in useful for traveling and other situations where a locking blade might be illegal, and once you see how useful it is to have multiple blade shapes on 1 knife you might catch the bug.

Get a Svord Peasant Knife. The mini makes a good pocket knife, and the regular is a good utility knife. I'd stick with plastic or wood handles. Love the user name, BTW.

After your membership - pick up some Hoppe's No. 9 Lubricating Oil :-)

Site membership, lansky croc sticks, sentry solutions tuff cloth.

You really don't 'have' to spend your entire budget down to the last cent. Once you get married, large purchases will happen with great frequency, trust me.

Kershaw Link, in Aluminum

Or a Buck 110

Both are GREAT blades, and will last you a lifetime
