I don't think that would be considered NM. I'm not trying to be an ass. Just not totally sure so I figured I'd ask. I think you would just refer to it as a rounded spine. NM has ALL exposed edges rounded right? Beautiful blade by the way. In not always a fan of rounded spines, especially on thick blades since it makes them look thinner than they are, but on the MOAB it works.

Bobby, that NMMOAB is a keeper. I seriously doubt there'd be another like it, and if there was, it probably wouldn't be for sale. It's a beautiful thing but I'd also want to chop with it a bit. If you intend to keep it forever it wouldn't matter so much about keeping it mint. That's just my thoughts anyway mate.

Nuclear Meltdown is explained here

The spine of the MOAB has the NM ball bearing finish. That's why I called it a NMMOAB. It's not like there are a lot of NMMOAB's to compare it to. But yes, you are right it does not have the full Nuclear Meltdown treatment.

If another MOAB can be found with the full treatment than I'll just call mine a rounded spine MOAB. ;) If not, I'm sticking with NMMOAB. :D

I only know of one other MOAB with a rounded spine or spine with the NM treatment, I'm sure there are more though. Right?

Can any blade be ordered with a rounded spine or the nuclear meltdown? Let's say I wanted an AMS with a rounded spine. Would Busse do that?

I sure hope you're keeping the knife, and you need to bring it to the next Chop-In! I want to see how fast it will go through a 2x4! :D
 
KEEP THE KNIFE!!!

The KSG's are replaceable, the NMMOAB is not!

I've sold INFI to pay for other things I needed and I have regretted it EVERY SINGLE TIME.
 
I really think you should go to 12 step meetings until this insane urge passes. At the very least you should call your knife sponsor.
 
Keep it for sure, without question. Its a Snakeskin MOAB for darn's sake. :thumbup:

Yeah, he beat me to it. The KSG is a major turd, and the tacticool paint jobs on those just make them polished turds. No way in hell I'd make that trade...... :(
 
FWIW, I wouldn't trade my one NMMOAB for anything less than a hand made Purdy & Sons Over-Under or one of their famous double rifles.
There ain't no soul in that KSG.
