I,ll throw this at you quick . Need charger for deep cycle battery . I have a statioary bicycle . I would like a charger that runs off the front wheel . The pain here is it can,t cost much money . Used car parts would be the best . I wanted to use an alternator . Someone told me The R:P:M:s would be too low . I want something I can pedal lose a little weight and charge up a battery not run an Ironman ! L:O:L
I think if its low amp enough I wouldn,t need any sophisticated circuitry as It won,t be likely to overcharge . The simpler this installation is the better .

Usually bike power is barely enough to power a very small TV. You would be better off with a passive charger like alternators and a windmill.

REPLY : I tried a windmill but it got in the way of the television . L:O:L I,m just looking for something to keep a deep cycle topped up trhat I use for lighting . If I can figure how to set up a charger off a stationary bike I,ll be fine . Any ideas ?
