help! Military, Starmate, Wegner ergonomics?

I have only handled the Military and the Wegner. I loved both knives but prefer and would recommend the Military first.
IMHO these are the winning characteristics: the flat grind, the overall thin package, the liner/tang relationship(I had and have read many having problems with their Wegners liner drifting all the way over in a very short time), the choice of steel and the tip down which facilitates the "DROP".

Oh, and definately plain edge.

I've owned all 3 and the only one I still have is the military,I think it is one of the best production folders out there

I own a Military and Starmate and prefer the Starmate as it doesn't feel as big as the Military in the hand. Have no experiance with the Wegner but can't say enough about the CPM440V steel in the Military and Starmate. They get scary sharp easily and hold it for a long time...that is the decider for me as I love to show off the sharpness of my knife. Although serrated blades will outcut plain edges on tough material, both of my Spydies are plain edge. I just can't get serrations sharp and usually my cutting is slicing type cuts which work better with a plain edge IMHO.

I've been carrying my new BF Native for a week now (WOW what a awesome knife!) and after all is said and done I think I like tip down carry.

I can use both of course, but tip down just a little easier for me (drawing from front waistband).

A plain edge cpm-440v military is comming.

And My-Oh-My what a strange disease this spyderco fever is....think I'll have a calyspso jr. lightweight and starmate to boot.

Anyone know where they might be in stock?

Now that hunting season is upon us I tend to pick up the Wegner more.

When I go out with Plato the German Shorthaired pointer he carries his chompers and I carry whatever little spydie is close at hand.
