OOOOOOOOOOOk
I had actually stopped watching this thread as I got the information I wanted from the CRK forum and didn't want to keep up a thread that might be in the wrong area.
That said, the information in this thread is very useful.
I WILL (Wont) WILL (wont) will NOT will (YES - no) use WD-40. That was the consensus right?
I took it apart (4 times) and while I did not polish the washers I removed a slight burr that was on one quadrant of one washer on one side. That ended up removing the grit.
When it comes to my overall feeling of BLAH I think I can better explain it now than before:
I love my Benchmades. I love my Kershaw Spec Bump. I love a lot of my knives and they are all completely different from the Sebenza. I DO Flick my Sebenza though I've gotten to the point where I can judge the pressure needed to the point where it BARELY engages and is not impacting in a violent way.
Anyhoo - I've been bonding with it and it might take the place of my BM Ruckus in the coming weeks.
I'm perfectly happy with the knife now that the grit is out.
