Help!!! My v grinds are turning out convex!

Kenny, I agree on using a blade to shave with after sharpening on a hard Arkansas, 1K and stropping . At this level it easily shaves my face satisfactorily . Then I've taken it higher to a 2K X-fine ceramic (Spyderco) stropped and shaved . I did notice some difference but not enough for double the fineness . I think technique is the more noticable ingredient in this mixing bowl . Also, what does one need to cut to justify purchasing stones up to 10K grit unless they're OCD or don't have anything better to do . DM ;)
