I have a really nice Benchmade Balisong model 10 fro the 80"s. I need the lever that fits to the bottom. I think it is called a T Latch. I don't know much about butterfly knives and this is the only one I have in my collection, and it is worthy of fixing. I have been in contact with Benchmade and they cannot help. To old a knife. Do you guys know of anyone who could repair it or sell me the part. Thanks for your help.

I would think any small "Mom & Pop" machine shop may be able to make one up.
Hell, even a knifemaker might be able to make one up with some 1075 tempered down to the mid 50's...

Mike, check in the "services offered" section of the forum. If no one there can help, pm me and I can check dimensions on some of my cheapo balisongs. You should be able to take a latch off a cheap bali and use a dremel on the latch to fit it to your knife.

Does it look like this type of latch would be appropriate (pic's of my 31 hopefully attached below for reference)?
Also, would be prudent to know metal type (Ti, S/S, Alum, etc.), I am not sure what a 10 would have been made from?
And you may also be needing fasteners (just a thought)?
A pic(s) of the handle base would be helpful (where the latch is attached).

^ Check with BF member, Silkworm (Sean). He's one of the most knowledgeable bali guys I've met on the forums. Also check with, Matt Cook (Pinoy Knives). He can make anything! He's over on the JD. Matt's done some amazing custom bali work for me in the past, and is one of the more well known custom bali maker's in the business.
Good luck!

Kelma reply, that's a score ;-)

I was moving towards offering up measurements & dimensions if needed to fab a part(s).
By your pic's also thinking you may be wanting pocketclip ...

Hopefully this works. I am an old poot and don't have the computer knowledge you young or smart guys do. I found a couple of pics of what the model 10 latch looks like. The pin holding it in is flush with the handle on both sides. It is Stainless Steel. No pocket clip. My camera died so this is the best I can do. Thanks for your help guys.
