So I have put off purchasing new firearms for about 8 months now in order to buy a new house. Well that is done and I am ready to jump back in the firearms game.

Here's the problem. In order to not be tempted I was forced to just stop looking at guns all together. So, I need to know whats new and exciting. What should I be checking out that I may have missed in the last few months?

Not sure I can say I need anything but I am definately getting the itch to buy something new that goes boom. Help me out guys and girls.

Feel free to post pics of any of your own recent purchases.

Garth

Ya heard about the new rifle regulations for deer in ohio?

That's true, Ohio opened up for straight wall cartridges. And I know a store that just got Marlin 1894s in 44 mag in *cough* ;)

POF (the real POF, Patriot Ordnance Factory) came out with their Gen 4 rifles about 7 months ago with their new E2 chamber. I don't think you got to handle mine at KC. I love the thing, runs like a raped ape.

Not really new, but some places have been having sales on VZ2008s. I just bought one for $417 shipped with 5 mags, bayonet, and a sling. Just waiting for it to arrive :)

Garth, I've been in a similar boat as I've been buying knives instead of guns since i met you at Knob Creek. This isn't super new, profound or exotic but I just ordered a kel tec pmr30. I'm really digging the concept of a 30 shot 22 mag pistol for a lightweight camping/plinking/varmint gun that's super lightweight and easy to carry.

I know some people don't like keltecs cause its a keltec and i know it doesn't sound as cool as Ed Brown or Nighthawk but having owned those as well I'm looking forward to some cheap and lightweight usefullness and 30 shots of any caliber in a package that is 13.6 ounces is music to my ears.

That's where I'm at partner in the search of trying to justify another piece. As you can tell it doesn't take much. Good luck

I just got my aac .22 supressor in. Plinking with my Ruger 22/45 lite is awesome.

Also, I've been upgrading my already stellar Glocks with the new Pyramid trigger at The Glock Store.

Crappy pic of my G20sf taken 5 minutes ago in my son's bed:
Fitted Barsto barrel
Supressor (tall) sights
Front only night sight
Doctor 3 red dot, milled slide, co-witnesses with irons
Pyramid trigger
4# striker spring

My 9mm Glocks are set up similarly, but with extended and threaded barrels for a future suppressor.

If you don't have a short-barreled AR pistol in 300blk, you need one. And a supressor.

This is my 7.5" barrel PWS 5.56 pistol. Sig arm brace. My 300 blk pistol looks like a twin, but with a longer, 10.5" barrel. Suppressor paperwork should come through any day now ...

Did you say -- Boom?! S&W 460 XVR

Or if you're looking for a new handgun -- dive into the 10 mm market (Glock 20 + Streamlight tlr-1)

Glock 21 with lone wolf 5 1/2 inch 10mm upper and lone wolf 40,357sig barrels too, have the rear milled to take optics and install suppressor sights. Build a nice AR or buy 1 there always fun or a shotgun I prefer the remington 870 and spend some money at mesa tactical. A suppressor for a 22 is never a bad idea. The glock 42 is pretty neat haven't shot 1 yet so I can't make any other comment than that just held them in the store. SBR's are fun too but like a suppressor it's the wait that kills you.

What are you going to use it for first of all? Home defense, hunting, target or just because you want one? That would give us better idea of what to recommend.

Ps. I really enjoy the rifle I bought from you:)

I by no means need anything. I have all bases covered in triplicate for things you need a gun for. I am simply going through new gun withdraw.

You're saving for a house, remember?

No SBR for you!!

If you're going 9mm route, I'd take a look at one of these:

https://www.sigsauer.com/CatalogProductDetails/mpx-p-psb.aspx

After handeling one at the NRA show I had to order one, just made me warm and fuzzy inside :)

They offer shorter barrels too

LMAO I am saving for a house but it will be bought soon. The SBR's are on the list.

Sure, the SIG may be a hit but when can you buy one and where?

I ordered mine a little over a month ago, I'm being told another month to 2 months out. I'd imagine they'll be hitting the shelves in 3 weeks or so, then mine would arrive after the first couple production shipments for consumers

As for where......you know :)

Garth, do you have a desire for a rifle, pistol, shotty? Long rang or short range?

I recently picked up a noveske 10.5" vltor mono, a DDM4A1 in chocolate brown and a sig 229r with srt.love them all, but if I needed to go with one id go with the DD. Great price for an awesome rifle. I am building a precision .338 snipe-tac... should be ready in 8 or so months. If I can ill post pictures tomorrow.
