• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

    Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

help...need suggestions on a first strider...

Give us some idea of what you are going to use the knives for then maybe you'll get some feedback.

S.

fixed blade;tanto format ok;
no tigerstuff;no sawback;
no serrarions cordwrap;
general defense combat type use.

I think ive settled on the ak though;
any idea who sells them besides the website???

My first was a MFS. Great small fixed blade that I carry hiking/biking.

Edit:
Didn't see that you didn't want cordwrap....

If you want utility and defence- MH
If H2H only consideration- GS or BG are good for speed.The WB and BT tanto mods are probably the most fielded, Strider Guys would have better stats on this account.

I picked up an S-2001. The agressive forward angle and the increased mass of the Tanto tip is awesome. I admit - I'll occassionally pull the knife from the sheath and handle it in front of a mirror so I can gain a more detached perspective of the look. The weighty yet non-bulky feel of the handle and blade makes it quick for having an OAL of almost 13 inches!

Now I gotta decide on my next Strider. Good luck on your first...

:D

Just curious, do you say "you looking at me?" repeatedly while doing this? Just asking :D

Seriously though, that is a nice blade...how do you think the tip compares to the BD??

"Who are you looking at?", "What do you mean by that?"....

:rolleyes: ;) :D

I haven't named my Strider yet and I don't talk to it either. I do like to look at the blade though and now when I see other fixed blades without the solid core of continuous steel running from the tip to the end of the handle I know I would not take them anywhere near an objective area.

The S-2001 is not like the BD.

hondo, it was a reference to the movie Taxi Driver (Robert DeNiro) :)

RL,

I know...

Razor B is a Strider virgin who will be waiting for his order with anticipation and when he gets it will continue to take it out several times a night till he gets used to it being in the house.

:rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Hey Hondo. You reading my mail? Was playing with my new MFS when I read your post. EC (Strider Cherry)
