i hope that i don't offend anyone asking for
assistance with this knife, since it is an
auto conversion. i've got a CMKT Buck 110
DA leaf spring model that needs some TLC & a
good tweaking to correct some minor flaws. i
hear that CMKT is kind of "weird??" with
their phone# & doesn't have a website or
email address & with this in mind i really
don't want to send it back to them & take the
chance on never seeing my beloved Buck again.
could or would anyone recommend a good
bladesmith in TEXAS(i'm just north of
Houston) that would be willing to take on my
Buck & make it right. i'm hoping to make this
knife a family heirloom to someday pass on to
my grandchildren.
any help, advice, comments or contacts will be
greatly appreciated!!
thanks guys,

Hi Commander,
While I recognize your frustration in getting work done on your knife, I think you will find that Buck , due to legal and other concerns, will have nothing to do with these knives. No offense is intended, but I think this topic has come up before.
Maybe if you post on the shop talk forum, one of the custom makers will offer to fix it for you.
Good luck,Dave.

Comander,
Dave is correct when he says that Buck can not do anything with that knife. We do occassionally get them in and have to send them back. I'll bet you can locate a custom maker willing to help.

Once you do that much conversion, you can hardly expect BUCK to stand by them.

On the other hand; I have a stag and a nice wood converted to auto. I have had no problem.

This was just nostaligia. The current issue Benchmades are fine.
