I have an expensive custom knife that got some surface scratching from rolling around in a sock drawer.....anyone have a good method of getting rid of them without ruining the value of the knife?? THANKS!

Well it’s either mirror finished or hand sanded to see the scratches, pastes will leave a dullness behind so that’s out...
How are you at hand sanding or using a belt?
Unless you’re prepared to send it out for refinishing might just want go live with it...

I am basically an idiot at fixing or repairing anything so I don’t want to screw this up. A friend told me to get metal polish at an auto parts store... any thoughts on using that?
