Ditto--that's what it is, I'd say. Chops nicely, flat grind makes it slice well, too. Cliff Stamp found that these snapped rather more easily than some other knives such as Himalayan Imports khukuris and Ontario's own "Marine Raider" Bowie, model SP10--but the fact that it doesn't hold up to as much abuse as those sharpened prybars can does not necessarily mean it's not a good knife. You could carve a Thanksgiving turkey or a Christmas ham with the flat-ground Survival Bowie with no problem, whereas the more-abrupt sabre grind of other knives might make that less easy. You could probably get one in the U.S. fairly reliably for around 40 or 50 US dollars, if you haunted eBay for a while.
