Help ordering my first Busse

Jerry certainly could re-release the fillet knives in INFI (since they were originally made w/ D2) and he does seem to be on an oldies kick but you (we) will probably have a very long wait for them. Have you been made aware of Busse Standard Time and the infamous "2 weeks" ? 2 weeks is the standard reply to the questions "When will Jerry......?" and "How long until Jerry......?" Some day, perhaps, but until then there are many wonders to behold here at bladeforums on the Busse sub-forum and from Jerry and Busse Combat. Good luck, good hunting and have fun.

No Problem! I wont be hacking on bricks but I'm a redneck hunter w/ some property.

Need to keep my eyes pealed for a Busse "Cultellus" or similar in meantime.

So Pete, you mean check his site every two weeks?

There are actually a couple knives I've seen in pic thread (spent all day there LOL) which would satisfy and were INFI - CULTELLUS and SAR 5 for example...

Will keep my eyes peeled - tired of cheap knives.

Two weeks (Busse Standard Time) is a bit of a joke here at the forum because it can mean anywhere from tomorrow to next month to next year to "You should live so long!" Jerry does things in his own time with the occasional teaser hint as to what's coming next. Right now, he's teasing us about the "Killa Zilla", his take on the Khukri and we've been pestering him for years about the "FOLDER". Hang around, this place is a trip.

I'll definitely continue to drop in from time to time - cool place from threads I've been reading.

You can find plenty of Culties on the Knife Exchange here on Blade Forums!!
 
Modus, a few things:

1.) Scotch. Learn it, love it. It makes the "2 weeks" a little easier, if a little surreal.
2.) Don't order on the scotch. What happens is: "Where did that $400 go from my checking account?" -- 2 weeks later ;) -- You get a box in the mail. "Huh? When the hell did I order another Busse?" Then it hits you: that binder 2 weeks ago. . ."Oh. Oh no."
3.) When you order on the scotch, just remember the Busse motto: "No regrets!"
4.) Hang out on the exchange. Eventually something you want will come up, although for some models you might have an infarction when you see the price. If you don't find it on the exchange, you can post in the Wanted to Buy section. Just don't post wanting a SHBM (Straight Handle Battle Mistress) and tell the guy you've got $125 to spend.
5.) If you're going to hog the exchange, pony up the cash for a membership. Much easier than manually searching. Often guys will post deals, or just something you want, and there's a lot of other traffic so it gets buried (they can only bump the thread every 72 hrs), so what you want may be there, but of page 5. Also some guys post and never get a bite. If you have a membership, you can PM and see if they still want to sell (no PMs for non members, either).
6.) Don't talk to Amy on the scotch, you'll buy something (maybe several somethings) you might not have really wanted. Not that this in itself is bad, but it's at this time, the exact model you want will come up on the exchange and you won't have the dough for it anymore. Don't ask how I know.
7.) Welcome to the trough
