Help picking EDC

I've never felt "under knife'ed" with my Sage 1. I do have a XHP Manix 2 in my bag intended for heavy use but it's never been needed. I carried the Manix 2 around for a while but it never felt as comfortable as the Sage 1. And since my wallet is in the same pocket, it's much easier to pull it out than as was with the Manix 2.

Now if you have reservations about the liner lock, then go with M2. I personally think it's unfounded but only go with it if you're happy with a liner lock.

Im not too big on the bradley and i looked at the 940 but didnt quite like how thin it was. Not a big fan of ZT. they are great knives but just feel chunky.

I think im down to the manix 2, sage 1 and tomcat.

A note on the manix 2, my dad has one and I've gotten to play with it and the locking mechanism is extremely tight. Is there any way to adjust it so that it would be easier to engage and be able to flip open and closed with one hand like an arc/ axis lock?

Thanks guys, all responses have been very helpful!

alright guys I decided to drop some money on a "fun' knife and bought a twitch XL. but i think Im going to go with a cts-xhp manix in a few days when i get some more cash. The tomcat is just too beautiful to use, it would become a drawer queen. And nobody likes a drawer queen.

How about a BM940 Osborne:

Although they usually sell in the $170 range new, you should be able to find one for around $150 if you search (check the sales forums too).

My favorite knife! I got mine stolen and will get another as soon as I get the cash.

i came within inches of buying a 940! but the only color that was in the 150 dollar range was that ugly Christmas tree green. But def a beautiful knife. i was hoping i would find a red one but i guess they are difficult to find :(

That's the only reason I didn't buy one when I was at a Bass Pro shop in Toronto. The green handle was the only one they carried.:barf:

Just got a manix 2 cts xhp from sno1983! I will now be happy with my edc rotation. Next up on the list of expensive sharp toys, ESEE 5 :D

Thanks. Spyderco does make some of the best cutting tools on the planet for sure.
This is a portion of my collection about 30%, it's gotten a lot bigger now.

Ok please tell us your favorite EDC. Since you have nearly every folder know...or at least the good ones I am assuming you gotta share the knowledge. Knives are becoming like crack!!!
