Help, please - Old Style Hiking Boot Source?

I know the boot for you.Try Montrail Moraine's,you'll never change again.About $260.00 and worth every penny.I see alot of "hikers recommending vasque sundowners.Much to lightweight for what it sounds like you are looking for.I wouldn't give 10 cents for a pair of vasque boots now.I have owned 2 pr. of sundowners and the last pair I purchased fell apart, literally!I believe moraines are advertised as "ice" boots but I have found them to be excellent mid-heavy all season hikers. They can be resoled,as it sounds like your buddys boots were if they are 20 yrs old.Montrail Moraines,Italian boots at their finest!

I have the real deal, 1980 Vasque HikerII in 10-1/2D #26424 made in the USA. I bought these and used them a few times, In fact they're not fully broken in yet. I've not worn em since 1981. I should either wear em or trade em for knives or something. Contact me if they're your size...

Hey Butcher:

Prolly an old thread, but I am just now reading it. I have a pair of Hiker II's from the mid-70's. At the time I bought size 10, but now require a size 10.5M. Love those boots...they are the greatest and still very functional. They are just a tad too short for me on long downhill treks. I replaced the Hiker II's with a newer Vasque model, which are nice, but not as supportive as the Hiker II's. Do you still have the 10.5's for sale? If so, how much do you want and how can I contact you? Thanks,

Jeff
