Good for You Jessie!!
We all knew you could do it and you have every right to be justly proud of yourself.
The first time is always the hardest. Now, with what you have learned, it will just get easier.
Don't be afraid to try it again. Practice is the key. You've got it down now! ;)

=] Sonny, when you do, come back to this thread. It has some great tips and hints.
I'm glad I made you smile. =] You guys here on this forum are so great.

from now on when you disassemble the knife put everything back together but the blade (pivot, bushing and washers). do the blade last and you wont have pinched washers which I would bet was the initial problem.

good luck in future endeavors.

I do it exactly as kreole does. By far the easiest fastest way to do it. Takes me about 1 min to put my large Seb back together.

I used to clean my Sebbies the way I thought it should be done, vs the way CRK recommends. The CRK method makes pinching a washer darn near impossible. As they say, RTFM :0)

If you would have listened to me in my text you wouldn't have ever had this problem. Oh well glad you listened to someone.

Lol I did what I did about a hundred times. I guess I was just frustrated and needed to sleep a little.
As soon as I got up, I got on here, did as told, and problem fixed.
Sorry Ash. :p But at that point I was asking about the lanyard pin.

I had a similar problem with my Starbenza. It was driving me crazy. I could not get the knife back together because one of the washers would slip off the pivot and I would end up tightning it up out of alignment (did that make sense)? One thing that helped me was using "stickier" grease. The first few times I was just using a teflon based gun oil and the washers slid all over the place. Finally, I cleaned it all up and used a white grease and the washers stayed in place. I have now assembled it and dissassembled it a few more times and get it right with no problems. But man, initially, I was going bonkers. Being able to take it apart and assemble it without problems was one of the things that pushed me over the edge with CRK and particularly the Sebenza.
