This is supposed to be a fillet knife for fish. I messed up the handle, any ideas how to save it. It's for a right handed person. I don't know what to do

Start by minimizing the swoops and curves, then see what you get.
Knives should generally be ambidextrous.

That helped, do you have any emery cloth? Stick the blade into a vise and go with the emery cloth.
