My Father-in-law has MS. He can not use a
regular knife to cut food. I'm looking for someplace that sells Ulu knives with plastic handles. Anybody out here have a site for me to check out?

Thanks

My Sister has MS, I feel for you and your family.

I think I saw them at the KnifeCenter of The Internet, but I am not sure. I will take a peek around and see what I can find.

I hope your Father-in-Law is OK, this is what I found right off the bat. The handle is maple, I did not see a plastic one, not yet.

In last year's Cabala hunting addition (I think last year's) was shown an ulu with a soft plastic handle. A friend who had used a hunting partner's ulu and was interested in getting one himself showed it to me. He was asking me about the quality of steel used.

It had a plastic handle (for good grip) and was made of AUS 8. I don't recall the maker, but it looked like an okay design - small and lightweight, and the thing was dirt cheap. Around $35 -$40 as I recall. Jack

AT - I just took a peak in the on-line Cabela hunting knife section and may have found what you're looking for. It's an Outdoor Edge skinner. Good luck, Jack

YES WE ARE!!!! I am always amazed at the amount of help I receive from others here!!! Let me also suggest that you perform a search on ebay. I saw a couple a while ago.
