I'm moments from ordering a FBM I know the finish I want and scale color but I'm stuck on the dang Magnum scales or not.
Question, are the standard scales comparable in feel to a Swamp RW?
And would Mags be a lot more comfortable then a BK9?

i can say this, the mags feel incredible, and i have only medium sized hands. i say get the mags, if you dont like them, they will easily trade for the regs. but not the other way around.
 
I agree with Morimotom.

Get those mags if you have medium-sized or larger hands. My own are medium, but rather rough and thick (after decades in the field and in the lab). And I much prefer the mags.

That's what I ordered too (urban gray with black mag handles!) Ordered my LE months ago and am wondering when it will get here. :confused: Kinda figure both will be well worth the wait. :)
 
The FBM deserves the mag handles. The FBM is a large and heavy knife, specifically intented for chopping. The mag grips will help to distribute the loads better than the standard grips allowing for better control of the knife. I have 3 FBMs with mags and 1 with standard. So you can take my word.

Also to answer your second question, yes you will recieve an e-mail confirmation of your order. You can also call Amy at Busse Compat's phone number the next business day and she will confirm your order.

I think we were talking about testing some knives or something.

If I recall, you said that you could cut a beer can in half with one swing I said that I would help you empty them.

I made no mention of the "beast" that you refer to.

Heck I might even take the beer to your place.

As long as I get to see that cool move with the knife.

The LEs are beginning to ship. The early orders should start seeing them the first/second week of next year.
