Hi,

Sorry I don't know if it's right to post here but it's urgent. I bought a 30-inch Japanese Katana from Hong Kong and the seller was going to ship it by EMS. But the carrier told him the US Customs may not admit such a long knife. So could anyone tell me about the corresponding regulations or did anyone have similar experience? Thanks a lot.

U.S. Customs is concerned about a lot of things, nuclear weapons, biological weapons ... but as far as I know there is no concern at all about swords coming into the country. That's the least of our worries.

Hey Bing...

You won't have a problem..
There are no restrictions on swords what so ever....

As long as it is a typical sword,, you'll be fine..

It's probably caught up in customs for inspection or even for taxation...

At this time of year,, don't expect anything to get here real quick..

Best of luck and happy holidays..

Eric, thanks for the information. I'm not in a hurry to receive the knife. Just want it to arrive safely.

Merry Christmas,
