i am new to this website so give me a break on not knowing this question but i just got a butterfly knife and i play around and did tricks with it and now it seems that the handles got really loose sooo, when i go to tighten them i turn with allen wrench ect... and then i cant get the other end of the screw to stop spinning soo idk what to do....

basicly how do i tighten my butterfly knife:foot:

The screws may be Loctited to prevent them from working loose. Try using a clean soldering iron held against the screw head for a few seconds before you try to turn the screw. You may have to back them completely out, clean the threads, and then run them back in.

On some butterfly knives, if you lock the blade open it puts enough friction on the piece that the screw threads into to allow you to tighten it. You could also try laying the knife flat on a piece of that rubbery non-slip stuff that they sell as shelf liners or to put under rugs to keep them from moving around. Lay it flat on that and press fairly firmly with the screwdriver to press the other side of the fastener into the non slip stuff and it might hold it well enough.

There's also a balisong/butterfly knife sub forum here at bladeforums. . . Try posting your question over there, or just take a look at the FAQ/Training Grounds sticky thread to see if there's something there on maintenance.

Good luck, and welcome to the forums!

You could try to do my idea but I would recommend waiting for more support on this.

Carefully grip the blade (maybe gloves and lots of paper towels) and turn the screw while putting pressure on the side of the blade.
