Hello,

I hope you all are well. I have decided to do a GAW to help raise awareness and funds for St. Jude.

My wife will be running in the St. Jude race to raise awareness and funds for the Hospital on Dec. 5th. St. Jude has created a webpage to help her raise donations. The webpage also shares our story on why St. Jude is important to us and how they have impacted our lives.

EDIT: I have donated and will donate the $100 previously mentioned upon drawing a winner.

All you have to do is donate any amount and post here that you did. You do not have to post the amount donated. This will be on the honor system as I have no way to check who did what. I can see when the amount goes up and I do receive an email when that happens.

I will draw the winners on December 1st. through a random number generator. The first winner will have first choice on a free mod or which knife they want to receive. I will pay for shipping anywhere in the world as long the knife is legal to own there.

If you decide to give, you will receive a confirmation email from St. Jude with more info and, info on a tax deduction. I do not receive any personal information, only the name, and no amount of the funds will go to me or my wife.

ANOTHER Knife Added!! A Case Swayback w/ CV!! By Kitten Party - I'll add a few details and pics later today.

Kitten Party sent me this a few days ago but I just now have had the time to add it. It's a beautiful Case swayback with CV blades.

New Never Carried or Used ZT0566 ADDED Thanks to a Friend!!!
A friend of mine, jc57 (John) and had pming about modern knives. He sent me this try and told me to put it in the GAW if it wasn't for me. I have flipped it a few times and handled it but I think it would be more apprectiated by someone who would carry and use it. A great knife. Thank you John for the ZT and the thought behind it brother.

One of the go to modifiers, and the best imo, has offered his services on one knife for free!!! This will make a third winner for this GAW!!!

Here is what Glenn has offered:
"I would mod the winner's knife or a TL-29 which I would provide, limited to the cover materials I have on hand at the time. (also subject to my turnaround schedule) I stick to mostly traditionals, but I would be willing to consider the project if non-traditional

Folks, I am truly grateful for those who have decided to give. Thank you for helping run St. Jude.

Yesterday, Sam wrote me a pm. He has decided to graciously donate an incredible Cocobolo Beer Scout to the cause. I am taken back by the generosity and thought. Sam you mentioned “good karma was coming my way,” I believe that karma has already been gifted by you an those who have given. Thank you for your donation and the addition good sir.

Great Eastern Cutlery 735109 ~ Antique Peach Seed Prototype
This knife is a 1 of 1 prototype produced in 2009 by Great Eastern Cutlery. Given to help raise funds by Bladeforums' own BigBiscuit. It has never been carried and it is a wonderful knife and one to own.

A huge thank you to Bob, BigBiscuit!! Thank you my friend.

I thought I could raise more by adding more people to it than throwing it in. 20 people at $10 each equals more than the 100. I have already matched it however.

My thoughts exactly! When I checked back in to see the new addition I about lost it. That is an amazing knife and an extremely generous offer from Bob!
 
I donated, I'm on the donors list as Abbydaddy. This seemed like a good thing to give to regardless. I hope your wife meets and exceeds her target.

Edited to add: I just wanted to say that if I win please put the money toward St Judes... but I want the knife ;)

Donated. Definitely don't need the cash award, as going toward the goal is more important, but that knife... :eek: Well, you know how us knife knuts are... ;)

I have the 20011 Traditional Forum knife with the same peachseed-jigged bone. It's real purty!

Made a donation Brett, if I win, please donate the money back to St Jude. If I win the knife, well then I guess I'll have to give it a warm home this winter....it gets cold here in WNY!

Donated. I'm in for the knife. :) If I win, please donate the $100 to St. Jude or keep it.

I used to do some consulting work for St. Jude and know a number of people who work there. It's a great organization with a lot of truly dedicated people in all aspects of the organization. The money goes to good causes.

As a father of 2 healthy boys (8 and 11), I absolutely cannot imagine the horror a parent must go through when their kids are badly ill, especially with a life threatening or terminal illness. I am incredibly thankful St. Jude is around to do what they do, and incredibly thankful we've never needed their help. Thanks for setting this up - good karma headed your way!!
