Attention all Knife Users!

BladeForums.com has been offered a unique opportunity to help us in our
mission of serving you, the knife user.

We have been given an opportunity, by Spyderco, to offer you two of their
special edition Carbon Fiber models at a GREATLY reduced price.

The Carbon Fiber Ladybug (C-LCF, suggested retail $69.95) and
The Carbon Fiber DragonFly (C-28CFS, C-28CF, suggested retail $113.95)

In an effort to help us support our site, they have authorized us to make
the following, one time, sale, resulting in *extreme* savings for you:

We are offering the Carbon Fiber Ladybug for $29.95.
That's over 50% off retail!
We are also offering the Carbon Fiber DragonFly (Plain edge or serrated) for
$44.95.
That's over 60% off retail!

We have approximately 14 Days to move through the limited supply we are
allowed to sell at these prices so it is very important that you act fast!
This is a one time deal and you will not find this deal anywhere else. Also
it is our policy to not compete with dealers so please do not ask a dealer
to price match.

These knives will be sold on a first come, first served basis, and we only
have a limited time to sell them. At these prices, these knives will not
stick around long.

Profits from the sales of these knives will be used to help us purchase a
dedicated server for BladeForums.com. With BladeForums on a much faster
machine and connection, you will be able to search our extensive database
much faster and edit posts all without us having to purge old files! Also
it will allow us to ad many more features without worrying about slowing
the site down.

So, get great knives for beyond great prices, and help support
BladeForums.com.

Again, you can find and order these knives at
http://www.bladeforums.com/store/special.html

Thanks for your support and thanks for helping us help you!
PS We would like to send a great big THANK YOU to Spyderco for making this
possible!

Guys and Gals we really need your help here. Ordering these knives will go a long way in supporting this site. So if you really enjoy this place please show your support and order these Spyderco knives!

If nothing else just order the cool Ladybug for yourself or your better half. I did! It makes a great keychain knife.

Also think of it this way. How much would you pay for a subscription to a knife magazine? And if you have a subscription do you have this much fun? Heck for as little as $29.95 for a cool Carbon Fiber Ladybug you help keep this site FREE!

Heckuva deal I would say!

Thanks Sal for making this happen!

YOU ARE DA MAN!

Help! I want one, but as we know the wife will find out if I use the credit card. Who/where do I mail the money order? I hit "mail order in" expecting a snail mail address.....there wasn't one. HELP!!

You can send in your order with $3.20 for shipping to:

WOW
BF-Syderco
9855 Mining Drive
Building 2, Suite #12
Jacksonville, Florida 32257 USA

However since this is a timed special you must act really fast if you choose to mail in an order. Also we can not accept personal checks. Money Orders are your best option. You may want to fill out our order form and then in the special instruction area tell us you are mailing in the funds.

Depending on the success of this sale, we may or may not have more.

We apologize for the outage last evening, Mr. Murphy must have stepped in big time.

Spark,

My only problem with the order form is that the shipping address is the same as the billing address... I want to have them sent to my work address since i can never wait for the ups guy, and i have a puny apartment mailbox.

is there any workaround for this kind of thing? I really want to buy several knives

p.s. this is an amazing deal!

Put the address you want us to actually ship to in the box at the bottom. That should work just fine. We just need the billing address for the sredit card for security reasons.

I share a sinilar problem with tobii3, but I want to use my credit card.Who appears on my statement as the merchant? Hopefully not something as conspicuous as Blade Forums or World of Weapons (WOW os OK), or something of the sort.

Spark or Mike T. please let me know!

Can you ship my Dragonfly in a plain brown wrapper marked: "Adults Only" ?

That way the wife will be relieved its 'only' a knife.

I suppose I'm already committed (or maybe I just ought to be committed), but I'll second "Ronald Reagan"s question. (I assume this is not the ex-President.) I do hope not to see "World of Weapons" on either the VISA statement or especially the return address on the package.

When are you planning to ship? (The sooner the better, IMHO.)

When is BladeForums getting a secure order form? I really hate sending credit card information over the internet in clear text.

I realize one goal of this fundraising is to pay for a dedicated server, but I don't really see why security needs to wait. If abc-direct is handling the billing, can't the bladeforums order form be on their SSL (secure and encrypted) host? Gathering unencrypted credit card numbers over the net is just asking for trouble.

1. On the creditcard statements, the charges will list as either WOW or World of Weapons, I'm not sure which.

2. There is a link at the top of the form for secured ordering. It's been there since the beginning.

3. The orders should arrive in about 2-3 weeks and should ship out of here that day or the day after. Expect delivery around the last week of this month.

4. If you have a seperate address you want it sent to, please put that in the "If out of stock" box.

5. All "mail in" orders need to be paid for by money order only. No personal checks.

Spark - wow, you're right. Could I request that the secure form either be the default, or at least for the link to the secure form be made more prominent?

Maybe it's just me, or my browser display options, but I completely missed the secure order option when I placed my order.

Thanks,
-Brett

Linking directly to a secure document from another website doesn't do good things to the browsers that most of the forum members use.

I'll try to make it more prominent.

Update:

We have less than 10 SC-28CF Plain Edged DragonFly's left, so if you want one, you need to order NOW because they will be sold on a first come, first served basis.

If you have already ordered, and we have not contacted you with a problem, your order went through just fine.
