I apologize if this is in the wrong thread, if so, mods feel free to move this accordingly, thank you.
So I used to own a Graham SS3 Razel Midtech which I absolutely loved. One the nicest looking designed knives I have ever seen, or handled. The blade shape, just so cool and useful, the handle, just melted into my hand and felt great in use. I loved everything about the knife except three design elements, the third being a minor issue, which ultimately led to me selling it. I'm hoping one or two of you guys will be able to help me out!
First issue, the pocket clip (which many seem to love) I ended up not liking it at all. It kept wanting to slice my pocket seam and it only got worse with daily carry. I also was not a fan of how loose the clip tension was. Is there anyone out there capable of grinding off the stock clip and designing a new, more traditional style side mounted clip while still preserving the aesthetics of the knife? I would still like something deep carry, just a bent Ti clip would work great, a 3D milled one would be awesome. New thread holes would obviously also need to be tapped.
Second issue, the weight of the knife. Just a tad too heavy for my taste, I would love it at about an ounce or more less. If I remember correctly, the thick Ti scales are not milled out. Is there anyone out there who is proficient at milling Titanium who could mill out some of the Ti from the inside of the scales (without compromising the structural integrity too much) and make the knife a bit lighter?
Third issue, the blade thickness. I can't really remember how well it actually cut, but I do believe it had a fairly thick blade. I'd most likely end up sending it into Josh at Razor Edge Knives for a re-grind since i've dealt with him before and he does awesome work.
If anyone could help me out, or at least point me in the right direction for this kind of work, I would GREATLY appreciate your services! If so, please contact me by email at jjscolman@gmail.com, PM is also fine. I'd be overjoyed to pick up another one of these and customize it to my liking. Thanks for your time!
